Jason Pinter and Dave White in a Killer Year signing, introduced by Lee Child

Lee Child, author of the Jack Reacher series, introduced Jason Pinter and Dave White. He also edited the Killer Year anthology. A job he said was made very easy by the excellent quality of the submissions.

Killer Year is a collection of short stories from some of the hottest authors to debut in 2007. Joining them are three seasoned writers: Ken Bruen, Allison Brennan. and Duane Swierczynski. Duane had planned to be at this signing, but illness got in the way.

Jason Pinter is the author of The Mark, featuring 20-something journalist Henry Parker. His story in this anthology is titled "The Point Guard". His next book The Guilty
will be released in March and continues the story of newspaper reporter Henry Parker.

Dave White's first Jackson Donne novel When One Man Dies is now available. His contribution to this anthology is called "Righteous Son". And if you know anything about Dave, you won't be surprised that the title is derived from the Rutgers College motto. Dave's next Jackson Donne book is called The Evil That Men Do

SJ Rozan's book launch at Partners and Crime Bookstore, NYC

Author and filmmaker Keith Snyder

S.J.'s cousin Sidney

Joe Wallace, who writes about baseball, dinosaurs, as well as mysteries

S.J.'s latest book In This Rain focuses on New York City's construction and development business. I think Random House put it well when they said "In This Rain takes us into the heart of a sprawling city - in a masterpiece of suspense that proves once again the unique and daring genius of S.J. Rozan."

Steven Torres, one of many mystery writers in attendance

Mystery writer Irene Marcuse

David Hansard, an author who has just finished his first book

Jim Born's Signing at Partners and Crime
Well, I made it to the signing. Unfortunately neither of my camera batteries did. I can't remember the last time I did something that stupid. Luckily my friend Kathy Kiley had her camera and she let me borrow it. I'm not that familiar with how her camera works, so the results were good but not great. Check them out here.
